Licensed Psychologist/Licensed Specialist in School Psychology
Mission: To promote positive outcomes for the well-being of children and adolescents using evidence-based, collaborative strategies.
Partnerships: YCP collaborates with over 32 schools and agencies in the Greater New Orleans region, in addition to accepting private evaluation referrals from paying families.
Service Model: YCP does not accept or participate in insurance.
Job Description: Licensed Psychologist/Licensed Specialist in School Psychology
Private Evaluations:
Conduct intake interviews to determine fit and develop assessment plans.
Establish good faith estimates for services.
Coordinate the sending and receiving of teacher and parent rating scales and input forms.
Conduct cognitive/intellectual, academic, social, emotional, and behavioral assessments related to referral concerns.
Write psychological reports and recommendations that are understandable to stakeholders.
Therapy:
Create evidence-based treatment plans.
Provide initial and ongoing good faith estimates for services.
Document sessions using a field-standard approach (e.g., DAP notes).
School-Based Evaluations:
Follow Louisiana Bulletin 1508 guidelines to complete educational assessments and/or psychological components for the 13 disability categories.
Assessments may include review of records, interviews, observations, tests, and rating scales.
Write reports within state timelines and ensure they are understandable by a variety of stakeholders, including parents.
Position Details:
This is not a salaried position but a subcontractor relationship.
No insurance or other benefits are provided.
Hourly rate is commensurate with the market rate for the southeastern region.
Work hours are flexible; you may work more or less depending on your wants and needs.
Requires license in the State of Louisiana as a licensed psychologist or licensed specialist in school psychology.
